Eight tips on how to improve your AdWords conversions and bid costs at a time

With the recent AdWords landing page quality update, it has become even more important to improve your AdWords campaign to not only increase conversions, but to reduce your bid costs. What can you do to achieve that?

The main principle here is focus. The more your keyword, ad text and the landing page are focused on providing specific information to convert your customer, the better. Here are a couple of tips on how you can reduce your PPC costs.

Write a Guest Post at Improve the Web

  • Gain more visibility, respect and friends among site building people (SEOs, web designers, copywriters, potential clients, etc)
  • Get more readership (subscribers) to your blog/website
  • Get a couple of links from a trusted website

You can get all that by guest posting at Improve the Web.

What you need to do is to:

What's going on at Improve the Web

If you are a loyal reader, you may be wondering what's been going on with the site lately. A couple of things, to put it mildly.

First of all, I got Dugg heavily. The article in question is this.

Secondly, the host disabled the site on reaching 50 Apache connections, whatever that means, so the site wasn't accessible for a while.

Thirdly, upon re-enabling the site, the site had some sessions.myi file missing and the hosting couldn't fix it, so I had to look at it myself.

Quality content: not just web site text

As you may have noticed, I am all for creating quality content for your website not only to convert more customers, but to get extra links and traffic as well. But website content isn't just website text (copy).

You know you are a SEO, when..

Think SEO is just what you do for a living? Take a closer look and you will see how it has affected your life.

So, you know you are a SEO, when:

You know you are a Bill Slawski fan, when..

It is rare a day that I don't come across a post by Bill, offering unique and valuable insight on some issue (not necessarily related to websites). Then it struck me that I may not be alone in that. Let's see.

Why I love to blog or reasons to run one

Lately, I've been tagged by Bill to talk about the reasons why I love to blog.

As a matter of fact, it is very simple:

Vote for your SEO forum

If you frequent some SEO forum you like getting advice from, it is your chance to return the favor to it.

Go to TopRankBlog and vote for your forum.

If you don't find it in the list, leave a comment with the name of your forum.

I have long been a reader and a member of Cre8asite Forums, so I voted for them (yes, go visit the forums, too, while you are at it).

Moving to Drupal

Hello there.

I am currently updating the site to Drupal.

As you may have noticed, the site structure has changed a bit.

But for now, it is not that important, because some post URLs do not contain the stop words and have to be added to match the blog URLs.

So if you come across a broken link, don't cry in despair. It is being fixed.

Thank you for your patience.

P.S. To comment now you'll need to register, sorry. I'll try fix the anonymous commenting stuff later.

Should web designers consider usability?

It is no secret that some web designers consider themselves visual sorcerers, conjuring masterpieces for the Web. Should they even bother about such a buzzword as website usability?

Why consider usability?

Sure, the primary goal of a web designer is to create an appealing visual layout. But is the layout compatible with the goal of a website? And what is the goal of a website?

Psst, want to know a secret?

Though this is a highly guarded secret of mine, I will share it with you.

I am a Superman.

A flying Superman image

  • Superman 80%
  • Robin: 75%
  • Spider-Man 70%
  • Green Lantern 60%
  • Hulk 60%
  • The Flash 60%
  • Wonder Woman 55%
  • Iron Man 50%
  • Supergirl 40%
  • Catwoman 20%
  • Batman 15%

You are mild-mannered, good,
strong and you love to help others.
